Ms. Vi Donald is the Founder/Owner and Artistic Director of Dancin' Around Dance Studio.  The studio specializes in various dance technique and offer classes ranging from Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Pom Pons, Tumbling & Hip Hop for both children and adults.  Ms. Donald opened her studio in 2001 and has been very successful.  She is also

CEO of Active Edge Lifestyle & Fitness and the Artistic Director and Instructor at the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District.  

 

Her dance background consists over 25 years of Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Pointe, Modern, Lyrical and Gymnastics, 16 years of professional and competitive dancing,  over 16 years of competition judging/try-outs with many dance organizations, high schools and Universities and over 20 years as a professional instructor and free-lance choreographer. 

 

Ms. Donald is ASEP Certified and a former high school Head Pom Pons Coach/ choreographer for Andrew High School in Tinley Park, former “Bally‘s Performance Team“ choreographer instructor and free-lance choreographer/instructor for Day Cares, Park Districts, High Schools, Colleges and Universities.

 

Highlights of her career includes becoming a cheerleader for the World Champion Chicago Bulls, “The Luvabulls“ for two seasons, where she danced and toured all over the States including international performances in England, Spain, Holland including many television and radio appearances.  She also instructed for the,“Jr. Luvabulls“.   Currently, her twin kids are both dancing and performing with the Chicago Bulls Entertainment  as their entertainment dancers the "BullsKidz".

 

Her career also includes her television/sitcom debut on “Star Search”, “Early Edition”, “The Taste of Chicago” and “CBS Channel 2 News and Specials“. 

 

Ms. Donald performed with the world famous, Golden Globe and Grammy Award winner, Ms. Diana Ross in the 1995 Opening Ceremonies of the World Cup Soccer Championship held in Chicago, IL.

 

She is a former Certified Technical Judge, Judge Coordinator, Vice-President and State Officer from 1999-2001 for the Illinois Drill Team Association (IDTA), she helped train, monitor, assign and judge Regional and State Dance Competitions. 

 

Currently, Ms. Donald is the Head Instructor and Choreographer for her Company Dance Team, "DancInfusion".  She takes her team to various Regional and National Dance Competitions all over the Midwest.  She has an Award-Winning Elite Dance Company which receives numerous awards and recognitions including "Platinum Awards and Top Overall Awards" in the Lyrical, Jazz , Tap, Acro and Hip Hop divisions.

 

Her degree in accounting, business management, and finance contributes to her career as an entrepreneur, wherein, she is able to pass on her love and passion for dance while accommodating to your dance interest.
