Caitlyn Guthrie

Miss Caitlyn started dancing at the age of 8 and has taken a variety of styles including ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, and hip hop. She has now been dancing for over 15 years.

 

She started competing at the age of 9 and has attended many competitions and has competed solos, duets, and group numbers in a variety of styles. She has placed with Platinum and Double Platinum at multiple competitions and have won judges awards as well as placing in Overall High Scores.

 

She competed with her middle school team in the Indiana High School Dance Team Association (IHSDTA) circuit for the 2014-2015 school year, where her team placed 3rd in Jazz and were State Champions in Hip Hop.  She choreographed a junior high solo for the 2023-2024 IHSDTA season as well.

 

Miss Caitlyn taught dance for two years at Promise Dance Academy in Crown Point and for one year at her home studio Essence of Dance until its closure in 2024.  She taught a variety of class styles as well as competitive routines.

 

She is currently a student at Purdue University Northwest studying Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Early Childhood Education.  She is also a member of the Purdue Northwest Dance Team
