StarQuest Regional Dance Competition

Before heading to Nationals, DancInfusion dancers have one more regional competition. On May 26-29, 2016, our dancers competed at StarQuest Dance Competition at Governor's State University.

Junior Team received 1st Place Platinum Award in the Jazz Category, Dancing Diva Award and 1st Place Overall in the Petite Small Group Division for "Boss".

Jaelyn received a Platinum Award in the Jazz Category for 'Maniac" and 6th Place Overall in the Teen Solo Division. Alec received a Platinum Award in the Hip Hop Category for "Baseline" and 8th Place Overall in the Teen Solo Division. Hip Hop Duet - "Werk" received Platinum Award.

Trio routine "Jai Ho" received 1st Place Platinum Award in the Jazz Category, Complete Commitment Award and 2nd Place Overall in the Duet/Trio Teen Division. Senior group routine "Wonderland" received Platinum and 10th Overall in the Duet/Trio Division.

Nia received a Platinum Award in Jazz Category for "Mama Knows Best" and 2nd Overall in the Senior Solo Division. Sydney received a Platinum in Contemporary for "Hold Me Down" and Costume Award.

Last but not least, congrats to Alec Donald for being named "Teen Mr. StarQuest 2016" for his Hip Hop routine - "Baseline". He will represent StarQuest - Chicago, IL and joins the "Elite 8" for one year. Here's a link!
