Recommended Class Levels

​​PreSchool Ballet/Tap  Combo                         

Ages 3-4.  No previous training. Emphasis is on basic ballet and tap movement.

  

Beginners Ballet/Tap or Beginners Ballet/Jazz Combo   

Ages 5-8.  Basic ballet steps and creative movement.  No prior training.

 

Ballet/Jazz​

Ages 6-8. Basic ballet/Jazz  technique with little or no prior training.

 

Ballet 1& 2​

Ages 8-10. Basic ballet technique with 2-3 years prior training.

 

Ballet 3 & 4​

Ages 8 & up.  Intermediate/advance  4-5 years prior training with emphasis on performance.

Pointe`

Pointe is run similarly to other ballet classes in terms of focus and discipline. The difference, however, is that students wear pointe shoes, ballet shoes with a hard, full soled shank and a boxed toe, so that the ballerina may go fully onto pointe while in releve. This class is for the more advanced ballet dancer and requires an additional ballet class and ballet technique class, as well as faculty permission in order to participate. 

Jazz 1 & 2

Ages 9-14.  Basic/Intermediate technique with 2-3 years prior training.



Jazz 3 & 4

​Ages 11-up. Advanced class with emphasis on performance.  



Tap 1 & 2

Ages 8-10. Basic ballet technique with 2-3 years prior training.



Tap 3 & 4

Ages 8 & up.  Intermediate/advance  4-5 years prior training with emphasis on performance.

 

Pom Pons

Ages 7-12.  Poms and creative movement.  No prior training.



Hip Hop
No previous training.

 

Advanced/Intermediate Hip Hop

Ages: 10 & up.  Intermediate/advance  4-5 years prior training with emphasis on performance.

 

Acro/Tumbling Level 1

Ages 5-12.  Basic tumbling with little or  no prior training.

 

Acro/Tumbling Level 2

Ages 9 & up.  Intermediate/advance  3-5 years prior training with emphasis on gymnastic skills.
